The chair Ovunque 2026 is a “contaminated” piece by Daniele Daminelli, developed from the original work by Gianfranco Frattini. The project originates from a historic piece of furniture, the chair Ovunque designed by Gianfranco Frattini in 1980, onto which a new contemporary component is introduced. The original structure in stained walnut emerges as a material and conceptual memory, preserved and enhanced through the insertion of new elements designed by Daminelli, distinguished by a special glossy pink lacquer finish. The result is a dialogue between two temporal dimensions: on one hand, the formal purity and material strength of an icon of Italian design; on the other, a clear and recognizable contemporary intervention. The outcome is a hybrid, sculptural artwork in which past and present coexist, transforming the original piece of furniture into a new contemporary expression, suspended between design object and authored work of art.
