The Table 611.1 from the Pranzo 2026 collection is a “contaminated” piece by Daniele Daminelli, developed from the original work by Silvio Coppola dating back to 1964. The project originates from a historic piece of furniture, the Pranzo table designed by Coppola in 1964, onto which a new contemporary component is introduced. The original structure in stained walnut emerges as a material and conceptual memory, preserved and enhanced through the insertion of new elements designed by Daminelli, distinguished by a special glossy pink lacquer finish. The result is a dialogue between two temporal dimensions: on one hand, the formal purity and material strength of an icon of Italian design; on the other, a clear and recognizable contemporary intervention. The outcome is a hybrid, sculptural artwork in which past and present coexist, transforming the original piece of furniture into a new contemporary expression, suspended between design object and authored work of art.
Since 2017, designer and architect Daniele Daminelli has been pursuing research that unites art, design, and architecture with STUDIO2046. His work encompasses interior design, furniture, art installations, and collaborations with internationally renowned artists and designers. Each project is conceived as a complete work of art, where aesthetics, functionality, and design heritage come together harmoniously. The foundation is a constant search for cutting-edge materials and technical solutions, with a strong commitment to quality and originality. Leading the studio with a vision that celebrates the dialogue between past and present, Daminelli creates spaces and environments that not only meet functional needs but also evoke emotion, telling stories through the fusion of classic and innovative elements.
